Real Poker LLC is a private, membership club operating as a not-for-profit 501c7 (pending) cooperative. Real Poker has created the Arizona Poker Tour as a series of amusement gambling poker tournaments (APGTs) in furtherance of our exempt purpose: the proliferation of the play, understanding, and appreciation of poker in Arizona. This includes, but is not limited to, those 7 of 15 counties without access to a professionally dealt, competitive game.

Real Poker utilizes three different points systems in the Arizona Poker Tour.

Skill Points are awarded to AGPT participants and are based on skill. Members earn 2 points per tournament plus 2 points per player they outlast. Money winners (including bubble) earn 1 bonus point per $10 won, plus 1 point per $5 tipped (20% cap).

The MONTHLY POINTS RACE is designed to award short term results, and players who play more often will earn more points than players who don't.

The ANNUAL POINTS RACE looks at and ranks players based on the average won per tournament played (Gross table winnings divided by number of events played). There is a minimum number of events needed to qualify for the annual points race, which shall be the equivalent of one event played per month. That means Season 1, which started in June 2018, will have a 7 event minimum to qualify. A new member could conceivably qualify by playing in all the events in December. All future seasons (2019 and on) will have a minimum of 12 events to qualify by the end of the year, a feat that is conceivably possible starting in the last month of the season.

Attendance Points are not based on any luck or skill at all. Attendance points are simply based on attendance at Club events such as general membership meetings or AGPTs (no purchase necessary). Attendance points translate into bonus starting chips at freeroll events. Real Poker freeroll events are generally open to the public, so by awarding bonus starting chips, members economically participate in the prizes awarded at freeroll events, which are funded, in whole or in part, by the members of the Club through the member benefits fund (optional addons). Subject to change, the bonus chips for attendance are 250 chips per attendance point, capped at 10,000 starting chips max. It is up to the member to check in with the TD for attendance points at an event if they are not participating in a tournament.

Real Poker’s points systems have been developed, vetted and approved by the members, but are subject to change with a simple majority vote at any scheduled general membership meeting. As with all things Real Poker, it's up to the members of our democratic, co-operative, poker club to decide just how we do things.

Blank names are cummulative guests of member totals. We do not track guest points, although member’s guests are eligible for the monthly high hand and most other promotional awards.

High hand awards, referral commissions, and points award recipients have 60 days to claim their prize before it is added to the PotY reserve pool (for annual points).
